Chiropractic is the healing art and science concerned with the detection and correction of spinal misalignments, or subluxations. It utilizes the inherent healing ability of the body, by restoring the relationship of the spinal column and the nervous system. The nervous system is the master control system of the body. It controls every cell organ and tissue. When a vertebra of the spine loses its proper motion it can affect the function of the nervous system . This can manifest as pain, loss of motion, and loss of function.
In humans, chiropractic is utilized as a method of healing musculoskeletal injuries as well as a form of wellness care in order to optimize their health and performance. The motor until of the spine consists of two adjecent vertebra. Each vertebrae, in its conjunction with the vertebra above and below, allows the spine to perform three essential functions: movement, flexibility and stability. When a motor unit loses its proper motion, it inherently loses its flexibily and stability. This causes pain and a decrease in overall function and performance.
The chiropractic adjustment is a specific thrust applied to the affected vertebra with the intent to restore the proper motion to the motor unit. As a result of the restoration of movement, all associated structures begin to heal and return to normal function. The nerves, muscles, liganments, blood vessels and joints are all restored to normal function.
After one year as an associate and then four years running my own wellness practice, I followed my passion to become an animal chiropractor. I currently practice as a large animal chiropractor in the areas surrounding the GTA.
As my own practice grows, I enjoy spending time in Chiropractic offices, adjusting patients and allowing colleagues to enjoy time with their own family and friends. I have experience working at a high volume pace and I am trained in a variety of techniques.
If you are planning to take time away from your practice this fall and winter, and want to ensure that your patients are left in experienced hands, then I welcome the opportunity to discuss the needs of your practice with you.

Dr. Noam covered a maternity leave for me in my chiropractic office for 14 weeks. I am very pleased with how he cared for the patients, staff and office while I was away, giving me peace of mind and time to focus on my new baby. I would highly recommend Dr. Noam for locum coverage.
Dr. Noam has exceptional adjusting and clinical skills with a wide range of experience in adjusting techniques. He was able to adapt easily to my style of adjusting and my style of practice, which created a smooth transition for patients while I was off. Patients were confident with his knowledge and expertise and comfortable in his hands.
Dr. Noam is very grounded in chiropractic philosophy, which enables him to educate patients in a congruent manner in a subluxation based practice. He has great rapport, experience and adjusting skills with children, which makes him a great locum for a family wellness practice. Because Dr. Noam has previously owned his own practice, he understands patient management and schedules of care in the acute, corrective, and wellness phases of chiropractic care. I was extremely pleased that he was able to maintain the volume of the practice in my extended absence.
My Chiropractic Assistants enjoyed working with Dr. Noam and found that he fit in easily at our office. They found him kind, generous and said he had a good sense of humour, which made him enjoyable to work with. He answered any questions that the CA’s had and was always willing to listen to them and share information, which they appreciated. My CA’s were pleased that he was able to care for and adjust patients quickly and efficiently and was able to easily keep up with the flow in the high volume or peak adjusting times. He was also able to easily adapt to our office procedures and able to easily handle new patients visits, report of findings, and progressive exams and was able to handle any other paperwork as needed such as MVA or WSIB.
I would highly recommend Dr. Noam for locum coverage. Please feel free to contact me and I would be more than pleased to answer any further questions.
Yours in Health,
Dr. Shaelyn Osborn
Throughout my career as a veterinarian and a lifetime as an equestrian, I had limited experience with chiropractic care until I met Dr. Teplitsky. He was first recommended to me to help resolve some mild performance issues with my daughter’s pony. I was so impressed with the positive results that I asked Dr. Teplitsky to examine my own dressage horse. At the time, I did not recognize any outstanding issues but was overwhelmed by the positive changes in my mare after only a few treatments. She has continued to see Dr. Teplitsky monthly every since and it has now been 3 years. I feel very strongly that Dr. Teplitsky’s chiropractic care has had a major impact on the performance of my otherwise very average mare- maximizing her balance and suppleness which has elevated her performance from training level to Prix St George in 3 short years.
Dr. Teplitsky’s passion for his art is infectious. I thoroughly enjoy our monthly visits both from a professional and athletic perspective. He is continually bettering his chiropractic skills through professional continuing education, networking with other equine health professionals and listening to his clients to learn more about their horses’ needs as athletes.
We have also recruited Dr. Teplitsky to help with challenging orthopedic cases in our small animal hospital. Patient response to treatments has been very positive and owners have been very pleased with the outcome and continue to schedule ongoing care as needed.
My dogs are my passion, Flyball and Agility are my obsessions, and I have to thank Dr. Noam for one of the biggest breakthrough in my dog training in the last 20 years.
CH Avondale’s Lets Play Jeopardy FMX MGDC CGN aka "Player"
Player’s story;
Born of Whippet royalty the most promising young dog breaks his front leg at 6 months old. 8 weeks casted was followed by a long road of rehabilitation. Hand walking, controlled exercising, and swimming, finally at a year old his training program resumed. I tried to stay positive but my young athlete wasn’t performing to the level that his pedigree and structure dictated. A professional trainer I was working with suggested I just rehome him due to his lack of motivation and drive. Saying, “He will never compete at the level you would be happy with”. Upset and in disbelief that my superstar was a failure I started to look at the problem differently, not that it was training or desire that he was lacking but maybe something was physical wrong.
I met Dr. Noam.
After a few treatments everything started to change, he became a willing and enthusiastic participant, excelling in his training sessions. Even though he was not clinically lame he had been screaming he needed help. Now with regular chiropractic care Player continues to surge forward, thrilling me with his performances in competitions, the improvements have been overwhelming.
Rolona’s Inner Beauty FGDCH MAD MGDC CGN aka "Belle"
Belle’s story;
Belle being a more stoic temperament type, she presented her issues differently. Like Player she was not clinically lame, but she would often be referred to by coaches and judges as lazy or stubborn. Her performance was just lacking. She would understand how to perform a task but choose not to do it correctly. These changes in her performances, would leave me re examining her skills, puzzled by the fact that she could work so brilliantly then in another training session be so off. I would go back to basic training, working elementary drills; I looked at her fitness levels, but still could not figure out why she was so inconstant. The problem was her overall health and wellbeing.
Only a few treatments and Dr. Noam had Belle back on track and at the top of her game at 8 years old.
I have to thank Dr. Noam on behalf of my dogs; he opened my eyes to see a component of health care essential to achieving peak performance. Quality nutrition, fitness, positive training, and over all Chiropractic health and wellness, are key to having completive K9 athletes.
Recently I have added my puppies, Smartie (18 months) and Win (5 months) to Dr. Noam list of regulars. It is never too early to monitor their health and work towards injury prevention. It really is the least I can do for my best friends.
With Dr. Noam working with the gang 2012 looks like it could be the best year yet.
Sincerely Helen, Player, Belle, Smartie and Win
